Mahendranagar: The flow of water in the Mahakali River has reached 223,200 cusecs today. According to the Area Police Office, Gaddachauki, the water level in the Mahakali River has been fluctuating since Saturday.
“The water level had reached 267,000 cusecs at midnight,” said Jeevan Gurung, chief of the area police office. “This is the highest flow this year.” Six Sonah families have been displaced in Bhimdatta Municipality-12, Erighat due to the floods in Mahakali district.
The floods in Hakali have been destroying the four-lane concrete bridge under construction on the river for the past two days. The access road of the bridge under construction at a cost of Rs. 3.67 billion has been demolished and the temporary road connecting Dodhara Chadani has also been blocked by the floods.
