Makwanpur, July 5 : The District Police Office, Makwanpur has arrested two persons in possession of 128 kilogrammes of marijuana.
A team from the Area Police Office in Pashupatinagar confiscated the narcotics concealed in an oil tanker (Na. 6 Kha. 6774) heading towards Birgunj from Hetauda.
The oil tanker was intercepted by police at 5:00 in the morning yesterday, Makwanpur police spokesperson Indra Bahadur Rana said. The police had intensified checking following a tip-off.
The tanker driver Ainamulhaq Dewan,27, of Simara municipality-30, Bara and his helper 24-year-old Moharwan Ansari have been arrested. Further investigation is underway, police said.
