Second National Technical Festival, Vector, organized by the students of Pashchimanchal Campus will be held from Magh 10th to 13th in Collaboration with Free Student’s Union at IOE Pashchimanchal Campus, Lamachaur, Pokhara. The event aim to provide a stage for students to engage and demonstrate projects and investors and recruiters to find driven students and innovative ideas.
According to the organizer, there will be five major thematic objectives upon which the event is based: Tourism, Agriculture, Disaster Management, Energy Generation and Management and an Open Theme. Major events will be held as a competition with respect to the themes. One of the major events that will take place is “Exploring Nepal – A Next Level Robo-race” hosted by Robotics Club of Pashchimanchal Campus. Robotics enthusiasts from colleges all over the nation will compete by building robots that will have to navigate a track that simulates Nepalese terrain.
In Parallel, many minor events targeting different faculties will also take place. One such minor event is CodeCamp 2020, which will start a day before Vector. Participants of the CodeCamp will be challenged to ideate and build prototypes for the problems put forward as this year’s CodeCamp themes Rural Tourism, e-Governance, and Public Health.
“Selected Engineering Colleges, IT Colleges and +2 colleges are invited to the event. The event is estimated to be even more glorious than the first Vector” said Ganesh Poudel, Coordinator, Vector.
