Kathmandu: The Rastriya Swatantra Party has decided to quit the government. A joint meeting of central committee members and lawmakers of the party held today decided to call back its ministers and state minister from the government, shared Party Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane.
In the press conference, party president Ravi Lamichhane appeared very aggressive towards media operators and editors.
He sharply criticized the media of Nepal for running syndicates and hiding their wrongdoings, saying that there is a lot of confusion in the media now. However he himself had no citizenship while taking part in election. He claimed to come back to the parliament to become the prime minister in the next five years.
The party meeting, however, decided not to withdraw its support provided to the incumbent government. There are now two ministers and one state minister of the party in the incumbent cabinet.
