Kathmandu. The newly elected President Ramchandra Poudel has taken the oath of office and secrecy.

Chief Justice Harikrishna Karki administered the oath to the newly elected President Paudel in a special ceremony held today at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas.

He was elected to the post of President on the March 9.

According to the Constitution of Nepal, the President must take the oath of office and secrecy before the Chief Justice in accordance with the federal law before assuming his/her duties.
