Pokhara’s roads deserted under lock down

Pokhara, March 24: After the enforcement of lock down, the main roads of Pokhara have witnessed deserted look. Though few people can be seen in inner roads but main roads are completely quiet with movement of emergency vehicles.

Police can be seen on junctions to check the people who breaches the lock down.  Following the confirmation of a second COVID case in Kathmandu, the government took the decision to impose nationwide lockdown as per the Clause 2(2) of Infectious Disease Act-2020 to prevent the spread of virus to others.

It is to be noted that a 19-year Nepali girl who had returned from France via Qatar had tested positive for COVID-19.
