Pokhara, Jan 19: Three people, including principal of Rastriya Higher Secondary School, Pokhara, have been arrested on the charge of taking the girl student to a hotel outside the examination center.
A female student was taken to a hotel for a partial examination in the elective English and academic method of class 11.
The arrestees are Surya Tiwari, 48, (principal), Ghanshyam Regmi, 41 (teacher), and Shirish Kumar, 40 (teacher).
The investigation was started after the National Examination Board (NEB) sent a complaint to the District Police Office on January 15, saying that the examination may have been conducted in an unreasonable manner and other criminal activities may have been committed.
According to Kaski Police, a case has been registered against them under the Education Act and the investigation has been extended by five days in custody.
