PM KP Oli fails to get vote of confidence

Kathmandu, May 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has lost a vote of confidence in parliament. He received 93 votes in the special session convened today. There were 124 votes against him. Fifteen MPs have remained neutral.

After losing the vote of confidence in the parliament, his post has automatically gone. Prime Minister Oli has convened a cabinet meeting today.


Responding to a question raised by party representatives at a meeting of the House of Representatives convened for a vote of confidence, he indicated that the parliament would be dissolved if no vote of confidence was taken.
