Oxygen bank to provide free of cost oxygen cylinder to Corona patients

Lalitpur, August 15: An oxygen bank has been set up in Sanepa of Lalitpur district in a bid to provide free of cost oxygen cylinders to needy COVID-19 patients.

Lions Club of Kathmandu Samarpan initiated to establish the bank with a capacity of 200 cylinders oxygen targeting to provide needy and poor COVID-19 patients.

Lions Club B-1 District Governor Man Bahadur Roka and Lions Club of Kathmandu Samarpan chair Deepak Banshal jointly inaugurated the oxygen bank today.

The lions club has over 1,500 clubs active in different social services across the country.

While inaugurating the bank, chair Banshal shared that the bank would provide oxygen to needy and poor patients in the wake of increasing threat of deadly Coronavirus infection in the country including Kathmandu valley of late.

He added that the cylinders should be returned to the bank immediately after it gets empty.

Similarly, governor Roka shared that they were providing free of cost medicines to needy people as well realizing a social and humanitarian need in the hour of crisis.

The oxygen bank was established at a total cost of three million rupees. The needy patients can contact at 9823444055 and 9813186484 for the oxygen cylinder at any time.
