One died in police custody in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi, August 12: A person of Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-14 died in police custody today.

The deceased has been identified as Amar Bahadur Chand of around 45 years of Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-14, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Pratik Bista.

Police from Border Police Post, Bahuliya, had taken Chand under control early morning on Wednesday and kept him in custody after he went around threatening to kills locals and his relatives under the influence of alcohol.

Chand was found dead in a toilet, added Bista. Bista had deep injury in his neck and police also found a blade from the incident site.

The body has now been kept at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi for a post-mortem. Further investigation into the case is underway.
