Kathmandu: Workers and self-employed workers abroad are being included in the social security scheme from tomorrow.
The Social Security Fund is organizing a program in the presence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Wednesday and starting the process of listing the workers who are employed abroad in the scheme.
The spokesperson of the fund, Bivek Panthi, informed that the work is about to be launched while expanding the scope of contribution-based social security by including foreign workers in the fund.
It is estimated that around 2.2 million Nepali workers who are employed abroad will benefit from this scheme.
