Nepal Airlines to operate flights to Sydney from June 21

Kathmandu: The national flag carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation, has secured slots at Sydney airport of Australia.

Sydney airport has given permission and slots to NAC for two flights in a week—Thursday and Saturday.

After receiving the permission for the flights from Sydney airport, the NAC has submitted necessary document for flight permission with Australian Civil Aviation Authority.

Assistant Spokesperson of NAC, Ganesh Kumar Ghimire, said NAC will operate flight to Sydney with a ‘technical landing’ in Singapore for the time being.

“Necessary process targeting to operate flight from June 21 has been forwarded”, he mentioned.

The NAC has started the process of selecting a company for aviation fuel in Singapore and Sydney and already selected MRO (maintenance, repair and operation) company for Singapore and Sydney airports.
