A Kathmandu-Pokhara motor rally will be organised on coming Friday to create awareness against cancer.
To be organised jointly by the Nepal Cancer Relief Society and Kathmandu Guest House Foundation, the rally will start from Kathmandu and conclude at Sarangkot of Pokhara, covering around 200 kilometers distance, said the Foundation’s President Diwakar Karnikar at an event today. The winners will be awarded. The rally also aims to promote international tourism, said the Organisation’s President Lokendra Kumar Shrestha.
Three of the five people, who died after a passenger bus heading towards Kathmandu from Kakarvitta of Jhapa met with an accident and fell into the Trishuli river this morning, have been identified. Of them four died on the spot while one died on the way to hospital, police said.
