Kathmandu: Police have arrested a fugitive from Budhanilkantha in Kathmandu today.

The arrested is Prakash Regmi, 37, of Siranchowk-4 of Gorkha. He had fraudulently handed over the check to a person in 2019 saying that the amount would be paid from his account in Muktinath Development Bank Limited Maharajgunj branch.

Stating that the amount of the check could not be paid, the High Court of Patan had passed the same judgment on 3 May and had imposed one day imprisonment and fine of Rs. 9 lakhs.
