Pokhara:  A person has made an attempt of self-immolation in Pokhara. A man (45 year) living in rented room at Kahunkhola, Pokhara-13 had attempted to kill self setting fire on his body today.

Sangita Sapkota (house owner) who went for his rescue was also injured in the process. Both were rescued this afternoon, Information Officer at the District Police Office Kaski, Subas Timilsina, said.

Krishna used to tell his friends that he was in financial trouble. He asked his friend for petrol saying that the motorcycle ran out of petrol on Saturday itself.

Both are under treatment at Gandaki Hospital at present,” Timilsina said. Police have initiated investigation on the cause of the incident.
