Man arrested in Pokhara for fake gold loan fraud worth Rs 24 lakhs

Pokhara: District Police Office Kaski has arrested a fraudster who took Rs 240,5000 loan from two branches of Rastriya Banijya Bank by keeping fake gold bangles and rings as security.

The arrestee has been identified as 25-year-old man, Abhisekh Sunar, whose permanent home is Parbat district. He was arrested from Sarangkot, Pokhara-18.

According to the Kaski Police, he had taken a loan of 16 lakh 60 thousand from Rastriya Banijya Bank, Birauta branch  and 7 lakh 45 thousand rupees from Prithvi Chowk branch.

After he did not come for a long time to pay the interest , the bank checked the gold and it was revealed that the gold that the he had deposited in the bank was fake.
