Kathmandu, August 3: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal has directed government employees to work responsibly as the ministry has responsibility to protect property of over 30 million population of the country.
She said this at the annual progress review for the fiscal year, 2019/20 and the ministry level development action committee here on Monday.
“Our responsibility is to protect people’s property, hand over land related service to local level, establish a land bank, make landless squatters owner of lands and make the ministry technology-friendly.
So you (civil servants) should work responsibly.”
There is a need to make regular inspection of cooperatives more effective, she said.
The ministry’s progress for the FY, 2019/20 amid COVID-19 pandemic was an important achievement, she said.
The ministry’s progress during the FY, 2019/20 was 73.20 percent in financial sector and 80.11 in physical sector against 68.80 percent in financial sector and 96.94 in physical sector during the FY, 2018/19.
