Pokhara: The Home Ministry has cancelled the citizenship of Sofiya Ruth Bhandari.

She had acquired first class decent Nepali citizenship presenting fake documents in District Administration Kaski on August 11, 2022.

The decision to remove her from Nepali citizen was taken by cabinet as per the clause 14 (1) of Citizenship Acts 2063 BS.

The Ministry also said that the people involved in issuing citizenship on forge documents will be prosecuted.
