Gandaki CM Nepali won vote of confidence motion

Pokhara: Newly appointed Gandaki Chief Minister Krishnachandra Nepali has received a vote of confidence. A majority of members voted in favor of his proposal on Friday. In the 59-member Gandaki Pradesh Sabha, 31 MPs voted in favor of Nepali while 27 MPs voted against.

Nepali got 15 votes from the ruling coalition Nepali Congress, 11 from the Maoist Center, 2 from the Janata Samajwadi Party, 2 from the Janamorcha and 2 from independent MPs. Twenty-seven lawmakers of the single opposition UML have voted in the opposition.

Earlier, the Jana Morcha had taken action against its MP Krishna Thapa for not voting in the opposition alliance. His actions have made the Pokhrel group more comfortable.
