Education Committee asked schools in Pokhara to finish final exam within May 14

Pokhara, April 18: The Metropolitan Education Committee has stated that the schools within the Pokhara Metropolitan City should complete their annual examinations within May 14.

The meeting on Sunday decided that the annual examination of the school should be held within May 14, taking into account the growing cases of COVID-19. Earlier the federal government had asked schools to held final exam between May 15 and June 14.

Representatives of PABSON, NPABSON, Parents Association, Municipal Examination Committee and others participated in the meeting. The Ministry of Health and Population has classified Kaski district as the worst affected district.

Although it is said to be the worst affected district, the locals of Kaski have not formally announced the school closure.

Hemprasad Acharya, Chief of the Education Division of the Pokhara Metropolitan City, informed that it has been decided not to change the date of the municipal level examination of class 8 scheduled from May 17-25.
