COVID-19 effect: Kaski admin halts registration of national identity card, electronic passport Reporter

Pokhara:: The registration process of electronic passport and national identity card has been halted in Kaski. The district administration office said that the service has been halted as some of the employees had confirmed corona infection and others had similar symptoms.

However, the passports which were prepared earlier will be distributed. Assistant Chief District Officer, Krishnachandra Poudel issued a notice on Wednesday stating that the partial service of the office has been suspended indefinitely.

It is mentioned in the notice that the work related to passport, national identity card, Indian pension recommendation services have been stopped recently.

The statement said, “All the concerned service recipients are requested not to apply for e-passport online t.” So far, there are 1,546 active cases of corona in the district.
