Kathmandu: A total of 776 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the country in the past 24 hours. This was confirmed in the 10,864 tests conducted during the same period, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
With this, the COVID-19 caseload has reached 809,729 till now. Likewise, 501 people recovered during the same period which puts the recovery tally at 788,008. The recovery rate stands at 97.3 per cent, the Ministry said in its virtual press meet here today.
Meanwhile, 13 people succumbed to the deadly infection in a day, putting the death toll from the flu-like infection to 11,361. The case fatality rate is 1.4 per cent. The Ministry shared that there were currently 10,360 active cases in the country.
Also, today 57,610 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, taking the number of people fully vaccinated to 6,647,322 while 8,621,449 people have received the first dose of their two-dose COVID-19 vaccine.
