Citizenship bill once again passed by HoR Reporter

Kathmandu: The bill to amend the Citizenship Act, which was sent back to Parliament by President Bidya Devi Bhandari for review has again been passed by the House of Representatives.

The House of Representatives meeting held on Thursday re-passed the bill on the basis of division of votes. After the main opposition party CPN-UML demanded the division of votes during the passage of the bill, the process of passing the bill was advanced through the voting process.

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota informed the House that in the division of votes in the House of Representatives, 135 votes were in favor of the bill and 60 against.
