Pokhara: Charged D’ Affaires of Indian Embassy to Nepal, Namge C. Khampa met Gandaki Chief Minister Krishnachandra Nepali Pokhrel at the Chief Minister’s Office on Tuesday. Khampa came to Pokhara during the monitoring and inauguration of the scheme run by the Indian Embassy in Kaski and Mustang.
Minister for Finance Ramji Prasad Baral, Minister for Life, Communications and State Assembly Bindukumar Thapa and Chief Secretary Ravilal Pantha were present on the occasion.
On the occasion, CM said that there was no need to explain the relationship between Nepal and India and stressed on the need to increase cooperation for the prosperity of the states and the country. He said that the state was ready to cooperate with India through the federal government in the construction of 8 km tunnel section of Dumkiwas Triveni section of the Korla-Triveni road connecting South India with China in the north.
Recalling that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also expressed his commitment during his visit to Nepal to upgrade the Girija Prasad Koirala Respiratory Center in Tanahu, Chief Minister Pokharel said that assistance was expected from the Government of India to run a medical college there.
