A blood donation programme was organised here on Friday in order to meet the increasing demand for blood for the survivors of the recent windstorm in Bara and Parsa. A total of 73 pint of blood was collected at the programme.
The programme was organised jointly by Blue Cross Hospital and Surgical Suppliers Association of Nepal in support with other organization. A total of 72 persons donated blood at the programme, said the Association Chair Raman Kayastha.
Three of the five people, who died after a passenger bus heading towards Kathmandu from Kakarvitta of Jhapa met with an accident and fell into the Trishuli river this morning, have been identified. Of them four died on the spot while one died on the way to hospital, police said.
