Bajura: Locals rescue wounded journalist on horse for treatment (photos)

Bajura, March 2 : Locals and police have rescued a journalist who was injured after falling from a wooden bridge while taking a photo in Himali Rural Municipality-1.

Dayarama Pandit, a journalist working for Nepal Samacharpatra and Radio Nepal, who had been in the village for the past one week to cover the news, was injured while taking a photo of a wooden bridge over the Ghattebagar River.

After general treatment at the health post, he was brought to Taklakot of Humla on horseback and then to Kolti in a  vehicle of Rural Municipality.

As local government and province government were late to rescue him, he was rescued with the initiative of the locals.

He is being airlifted to Nepalgunj for further treatment as he has sustained injuries to various parts of his head and body. (With inputs from Rita Shahi in Bajura)
