43,000 kg waste managed by Hill Himalayas

Pokhara, Jan 24: Hill Himalayas has completed the 30th Pokhara Sanitation Campaign on Saturday.

Roshan Gurung, coordinator of the organization, said that the aim of the campaign was to protect nature without any vested interest. He said that garbage is being collected for about three hours every Saturday as per the campaign.

The organization has stated that about 43,000 kg of garbage has been collected from hill and sent to the vehicles of the metropolis.

Gurung said that they are currently collecting garbage in the area around the lake. It is said that around Rs 200,000 assistance has been received from people living abroad.
