Kathmandu, July 10 : A total of 118 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the country in the last 24 hours.
According to Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Jageshwar Gautam, the information on the new cases was collected after lab test conducted in 25 laboratories across the country.
In a regular press briefing at the Ministry, Spokesperson Dr Gautam said with the new case, the number of total infected reached 16,649 in the country.
He further shared that 120 persons returned home after complete recovery of health in the last 24 hours. With this, number of returnees after complete recovery reached 8,011.
Dr Gautam shared that 4,805 persons were tested via PCR methods in past 24 hours. According to latest update, 275,951 are tested via PCR method in the country till today.
Currently, there are 23,910 persons staying in different quarantines while 8,603 in isolations.
According to Ministry, there is no single patient of COVID-19 in Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Solukhumbu, Manang, Mustang and Humla districts.
Similarly, each district- Mahottari, Rautahat, Palpa, Achham, Kailali and Bajura has over 500 infected people.
Meanwhile, 42 new cases are witnessed in the Kathmandu Valley today. Of them, 28 are from Kathmandu, 13 from Lalitpur and one from Bhaktapur.
